Chef Brad here! If I were to tell you that walking through a dark and empty Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Art school is as exciting as it sounds, would you believe me? Well, you should. I am the one who unlocks all the classrooms and turns on the lights for everyone. Walking into a dark kitchen is one of the greatest feelings. By that, I mean seeing all the pilot lights lined up uniformly and dancing with anticipation, knowing their fire is going to help a student create a dish they have never cooked before. I get the pleasure of seeing many students excited to cook each day.

I was once in your position back in 2011 - getting up at the crack of dawn to expand my knowledge of food here at the Le Cordon Bleu Minneapolis /St. Paul campus. Now, having gained the knowledge I have learned throughout the years, I am able to give back to the students by supplying you with quality ingredients. This will be the first of many blogs that I hope you will enjoy.

I will tell you the inside scoop of what is happening on campus and show you products that you may have never seen before, may soon learn about or have seen before but in a different form. Feel free to ask me questions if you see me down the halls, jumping from storeroom to the kitchens, making sure your products are accounted for before you begin your class. We will have an exciting adventure!

I hope you follow along as I will be posting some of my unique experiences here at Le Cordon Bleu college in Minneapolis / St. Paul, but also from around the city as I venture to farmers markets, restaurants and who knows - a random brewery or two. Cheers!
